Approve Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS Grant AZ-H200016 and AZ-H2001W033 Closeouts.
Background:
The Housing Authority of Cochise County is the Project Sponsor for the HOPWA Grant #AZ-H200016 in which $616,323.00 was expended to assist Cochise County residents to obtain and keep permanent housing and prevent homelessness during the period of March 1, 2021 to February 28, 2024. The final closeout reports have been submitted and accepted by HUD.
The Housing Authority of Cochise County is the Project Sponsor for the HOPWA CARES Act Grant #AZ-H20001 in which $61,198.00 was expended to serve HOPWA eligible individuals who were impacted by COVID during the grant period of July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2023. $6,411.00 remained in the grant because the grant was intended specifically for needs related to COVID and the Housing Authority of Cochise County did not receive the referrals necessary to spend the funding completely down. The final reports have been submitted and accepted by HUD.
