Approve Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) 24-0010929-I, Whitewater Draw Bridge St #08109, between Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) and Cochise County, in the amount of $127,305, with a local match of $7,635, effective upon signing of all parties through completion of the project.
Background:
This is a scoping project to assess the replacement of a 1937 1-lane bridge on Rucker Canyon Road in the Chiricahua Mountains that provides accesses to the historic Rucker Military Camp, Camp Rucker Campground, and Bear Canyon Campground. The project will investigate needed Right-of-Way, preliminary cost estimate, and provide documentation for reapplying through Off System Bridge funds for design, ROW and construction cost. Total scoping cost is $135,000 of which $127,305 in Federal Fund/ADOT and $7,695 County HURF Funds.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
ADOT will finalize IGA and initiate project.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
IGA will be returned to ADOT and project canceled.
