Approve the transfer of general fund contingency funds to the Elections Department to procure two DS950 High-Speed Scanners, in the amount of $308,000.
Background:
The County currently has two high-speed tabulators (ESS DS450, and ESS DS850) that are due for an upgrade. We experienced hardware failure on the DS850 during the election in 2024, and it became clear that the DS450 would not be sufficient as a backup tabulator moving forward. Purchasing two new DS950's will minimize the possibility of equipment failure negatively impacting elections in the near future.

Move funds from general fund contingency and purchase two DS950s.
