Approve a building permit fee waiver request in the amount of $1,172.00 for the Town of Huachuca City for the Camp Naco restoration project located at 2118 W. Newell St. in Naco.

Background:

The Town of Huachuca City continues a preservation project at Camp Naco, including asbestos abatement and building stabilization. The Town has recently submitted a permit application for re-roofing several of the structures on the site, and has requested a waiver of the associated $1,172.00 permit fees.

In September 2010, the Town requested and was granted a permit fee waiver in the amount of $85.23 for a similar project at Camp Naco.

Department's Next Steps (if approved):

The Community Development Department would not charge the Town of Huachuca City permit fees in the amount of $1,172.00 for the re-roofing project.

Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:

The Applicant would be required to remit $1,172.00 for the building permit.
