Information
Agenda Item Text:
Approve the Airport Development Reimbursable Grant Agreement #E4S1O with ADOT in the amount of $180,000 with a local match share of $20,000 for the Design of Taxiway A Reconstruction (3 phases) at the Bisbee-Douglas International Airport.
Background:
On June 22, 2013 the State Transportation Board approved funding for Fiscal Year 2014 for Arizona Airports.
This project has been listed in the five-year Airport Capital Improvement Plan (ACIP) since 2009. Without the design of Taxiway A, future development and reconstruction of runways and taxiways will be delayed. By completing this phase of development, the airport property will remain a viable part of the regional airport system and stay on track for funding from the FAA and ADOT.

Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Two originals of the ADOT Agreement will be provided to the Clerk of the Board. After formal Board approval and appropriate signatures, please return both (two) signed originals to Lisa Marra in Facilities Management. After ADOT-AD has signed and returned one original, it will be forwarded to the Board office for record.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
If this Grant Agreement is not approved, the County will lose State approved funding on the airport project in the amount of $180,000. If this design project is not completed, it would set back the dates for scheduled develop and construction of future airport construction that has been budgeted by the FAA and ADOT through 2017. If this project is not completed, future funding could be jeopardized.
To BOS Staff: Document Disposition/Follow-Up:
Two copies will be provided for signatures. Please return both copies. Upon acceptance from ADOT, one signed original will be returned to your office for filing.
Please DO NOT fill in date on page 1 - ADOT will complete.
