Adopt Resolution 13-33 in accordance with A.R.S. 48-901 et. seq., approving the establishment of the San Pedro Domestic Water Improvement District as described in the attached Petition, including Exhibits A-F and appointing Dr. Mark Kartchner, Ms. Marion Kartchner, and Mr. Kevin Keith Kartchner to serve as the initial governing board.
Background:
The Petition to form the San Pedro Domestic Water Improvement District (San Pedro Domestic WID) has been signed by the property owners of all the property in the proposed district who, in conformance with the provisions of the A.R.S., have waived their right to a public hearing, etc.
A.R.S. allows the board to summarily order the establishment of a district in such cases. The Election & Special Districts' Director, Juanita Murray, the Deputy County Attorney, Britt Hanson and the Clerk of the Board, Arlethe Rios, have each reviewed the Petition, together with its attached Exhibits A-F, and also reviewed the applicable statutes and jointly recommend the approval of this request.
