Approve an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between City of Sierra Vista & Cochise County for the purchase of Radio System Equipment for Law Enforcement Purposes effective October 22, 2013 to October 21, 2014.
Background:
On August 13, 2013 the Board of Supervisors approved the purcahse of a Radio Communications System upgrade from Motorola in the amount of 7,232,540.60. This purchaes inlcudes equipment for the City of Sierra Vista and this IGA covers their portion of the equipment purchase. The IGA will reimburse the County for their portion of equipment purchase in the amount of 250,000.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Excute IGA. Inspect equipment upon delivery and tag equipment as necessary for fixed asset purposes.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
County will not receive funding from the City of Sierra Vista for their portion of equipment purchase.

Original document will be hand carried for Ann English's signature and the City of Sierra Vista will execute the IGA subsequent to Board of Supervisors signature and approval.
