Approve the Airport Development Reimbursable Grant Agreement # E4F3E with the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) in the amount of $8,724 to update the Airport Master Plan Study at the Cochise County Airport.
Background:
On September 10, 2013, the Board of Supervisors approved entering into grant agreement #3-04-0049-004-2013 with the FAA in the amount of $177,721 to update the airport master plan. This project had been listed in our Airport Improvement Plan for the past five years and became eligible for funding as scheduled this year by both the FAA and ADOT. The County’s and ADOT’s match share of this project is 4.47% or $8,724 each. This ADOT grant, along with the County’s match share will provide for a total project cost of $195,169. The County has entered into a contract with Armstrong Consultants and work has begun on the project.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Two originals of the ADOT Agreement will be provided to the Clerk of the Board. After formal Board approval and appropriate signatures, please return both (two) signed originals to Lisa Marra. After ADOT-AD has signed and returned one original, it will be forwarded to the Board office for record.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
If this Grant Agreement is not approved, the County will lose State approved funding on the airport project in the amount of $8,724 and be required to provide that additional funding in order for the master plan update project to be completed
