Information

Agenda Item Text:

Ratify signatures for Grant Renewal Agreement forms SF424, HUD-40110, 2991, and SF-LLL that were previously approved by the Board of Supervisors on 3/11/14 from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development for the continuation of the Housing Opportunities for Persons with Aids (HOPWA) Program within Cochise County effective from January 1, 2014 to January 1, 2018 in the amount of $655,584.

Background:

On 3/11/14, the Board approved this grant application.  Since this grant application was approved, the line items and forms were adjusted.  There is no change in the dollar amount or the grant application or terms.  The forms were simply revised per direction from HUD.

Department's Next Steps (if approved):

Prepare an intergovernmental agreement between the County and the Housing Authority of Cochise County after the grant is formally awarded by HUD.

Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:

Forfeit the available HOPWA funding opportunity and discontinue the program.

To BOS Staff: Document Disposition/Follow-Up:

The application and forms have been signed by the Board.  One official copy will be provided to the Clerk of the Board after it is executed by HUD.
