Approve the Rural Utility Service (RUS) Grant in the amount of $145,987 for the Distance Learning and Telemedicine Grant Program.
Background:
This is a fixed site distance learning project connecting students and teachers at 12 remote sites for both classes and enrichment content. The total DLT Grant requested 135,987.00, our total proposed match 70,000. For a grand total of 215,987.00.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
To implement the project by purchasing ITV equipment for the elementary school districts
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
The districts would not receive the ITV equipment.
