Approve the award of Request for Proposals (RFP) No. 11-41-FAC-03 for the lease of Airport Hanger T-4094 at BDI Airport in the amount of $525.96 per month to Rafael Gonzalez for a five year period with the option to renew for up to four (4) five year periods
Background:
On January 28, 2003, the Board of Supervisors approved the lease of Aircraft Hanger T-4094 to Mr. George Snyder for a period of one-year with the option to renew for successive one-year periods upon mutual consent of both parties. On August 3, 2010, the Board of Supervisors approved the renewal of this lease agreement through July 31, 2012. On January 28, 2011, George Snyder requested early termination of this lease agreement. The Facilities Management Director authorized the early termination request and the procurement department prepared and released RFP No. 11-41-FAC-03, in accordance with the requirements of ARS 11-256, to find a replacement tenant.
The RFP was released on March 8, 2011, advertised in the San Pedro Valley News March 16 and March 23, 2011 and posted on the County website. Bid notices were mailed to 58 prospective proposers. A pre- bid/site visit was held on March 29, 2011. One proposal was received by the RFP closing date of April 12, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. in the amount of $525.96 per month, which is $105.96 more than the current lease agreement.
