Agenda Item Text:
Approve over-the-counter sale of tax deed properties remaining unsold following the June 5, 2014 tax deed land auction and subsequent over-the-counter sales, as set forth in the attached report, plus related administrative fees.
Background:
Following Board approval on June 10, 2014 of the June 5, 2014 land auction sales, staff posted the Unsold Parcels on the county's website and began accepting over-the-counter (OTC) bids.
An OTC bid has been received and is reflected on the attached report; in addition, the bidder will pay a $75 administrative fee. The bid and associated payment have been received by BOS office staff for the parcel listed on the report. Please note that the bidder sumittedb a bid lower than the minimum bid set by the Board Office. The applicant was notified that her bid was below the minimum, but wanted to move forward as is. The Attorney's Office advised that a lower bid than the minimum bid set can be considered by the Board.
Acceptance of this bid brings the total YTD sales to $575.00 ($500.00 in parcel sales and $75.00 in administrative fees).
There are 98 parcels remaining for sale (see attached unsold parcels list).
