Approve a cooperative agreement between Cochise County and the Arizona State Forester for the protection of forests and wildlands, and assistance with fire and non-fire national, state, and county emergencies and multi-agency logistical support in this state and other states.
Background:
This is a renewal of an existing IGA between Cochise County and the Arizona State Forester
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
If approved an original signed copy will be sent to the Arizona State Forester. No other action required.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
If not approved there will be no mutual aid agreement between the Arizona State Forester and Cochise County, potentially hindering wildland firefighting aid and operations.
