Approve the sale of two used fleet vehicles #4309 and #4106 declared surplus by the Procurement Department Property Manager to the City of Benson for the amount of $5,500 and $6,750 respectively.
Background:
In accordance with ARS§11-251 a County may with unanimous consent of the Board and without a public auction, sell County property to any other duly constituted governmental entity. The Property Manager has made the determination that $12,250 is a reasonable offer based on current market conditions and what this equipment would expect to sell for through the County public surplus auction process.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Prepare bill of sale, collect $12,250, and deposit the money into the general fund.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
The City of Benson would have to bid on the vehicle at public auction.
