Approve an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between Chiricahua Trails Fire Department and Cochise County Sheriff's Office to provide radio/voice toning in response to calls, effective for one year, with up to four annual automatic renewals.

Background:

For approximately a year, Cochise County Sheriff's Office has toned/paged out Chiricahua Trails Fire Department and this intergovernmental agreement formalizes the agreement. There is no cost associated with this agreement and will be effective upon approval of the board.

Department's Next Steps (if approved):

Upon approval of the Board of Supervisors, Cochise County Sheriff's Office will forward one copy of the originals to Chiricahua Trails Fire Department and continue providing services as noted.

Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:

If the board does not approve this intergovernmental agreement, Chiricahua Fire Department will have no other options of being notified of emergency/non emergency calls for service.
