Approve the sale of two used fleet vehicles #0516 and #0597 declared surplus by the Procurement Department Property Manager to the City of Tombstone for the amount of $4,425 and $5,150 respectively.
Background:
In accordance with ARS§11-251 a County may with unanimous consent of the Board and without public auction, sell County property for a specific use to any other duly constituted governmental agency. The Property Manager has determined that $9,575 is a reasonable offer based on current market conditions and what this equipment would expect to sell for through the County public surplus auction process.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Prepare a bill of sale, collect $9,575 and deposit the money into the general fund.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
The City of Tombstone would have to bid on the vehicles at public auction.
