Approve the award of Request for Proposal (RFP) No. 15-30-SHF-03 for Jail and Juvenile Detention Center Food Service for the Sheriff and Juvenile Detention to Trinity Services from July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2016.
Background:
The Procurement Department with assistance from the Sheriff and Juvenile Detention prepared Request for Proposal No. 15-30-SHF-03 for Jail and Juvenile Detention Center Food Service. The Request for Proposal was released on March 23, 2015, was advertised in the Arizona Range News of April 1 and 5, 2015 and posted on the Public Purchase web site. A proposal meeting was held on April 21, 2015. Two proposals were delivered to the County Procurement Department by the closing date and time of April 28, 2015. Proposals were received from the following vendors: Aramark Correctional Services Trinity Services A selection committee to evaluate the proposals and make a recommendation based on the criteria set forth in the RFP. This committee was comprised of representatives from the Procurement Department, Sheriff and Juvenile Detention. The evaluation committee ranked and scored the proposals as follows: Ranking Order Score (out of a possible 1,000 points) Trinity Services 3409.75 Aramark Correctional Services 3356.5 The contract period is for one year with option to renew for a period of four (4) successive one-year periods.

Execute contract and monitor contract performance.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
Jail and Juvenile Detention would be required to perform this service in house.
