Adopt Resolution 15-26 regarding Cochise County's 2016 State of Arizona Legislative Priorities.
Background:
Each year the Board of Supervisors works with the County Supervisors Association (CSA) to establish legislative priorities for the upcoming session. Supervisor Searle attended the recent CSA summit in Lake Havasu and the CSA Board of Directors established several priorities for Arizona Counties. One of those focused on restoring the counties to fiscal health.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Adopt and execute Resolution, draft cover letter, mail a copy of the Resolution to each of our State legislators.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
Cochise County will not have a formal Resolution in place supporting our legislative priorities.
