Appoint Mr. Tom Borer to the Planning and Zoning Commission, District 1 effective immediately through December 31, 2017.
Background:
The PNZ Commission has a vacant seat from District 1 created by the resignation of Tim Cervantes in September 2015. This appointment will fill that seat with remaining term to expire on December 31, 2017. The PNZ Commission consists of nine members appointed by the Board of Supervisors to four- year terms.
Mr. Borer is willing to serve and has experience in community development that will serve him well as a PNZ Commissioner.

Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Following a successful appointment, staff will provide Mr. Borer with Commissioner packet materials in preparation for the January 13, 2016 PNZ Commission meeting.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
Should this item not be approved, the PNZ Commission would remain one member short from District 1 and not be a full nine member PNZ Commission.
