Approve the reappointment of Mr. Pat Edie to the Planning & Zoning Commission, for a four-year term effective January 1, 2017 through December 31, 2020.
Background:
The Planning & Zoning Commission consists of nine members, three from each District, appointed by the County Supervisor for each District, residing within the District. Members of the Planning & Zoning Commission serve staggered four-year terms. Mr. Edie's term is expiring on December 31, 2016. Supervisor English is recommending re-appointing Mr. Edie to serve another term, ending December 31, 2020.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Send appointment letters adn administer the oath of office to Mr. Edie as stated below in BOS Staff Follow-up.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
After December 31, 2016, there will be a vacancy on the Planning & Zoning Commission from District 2.
