Approve the Cooperative Agreement between Cochise County and the Southern Arizona Children’s Haven for use of 2017 Community Development Black Grant (CDBG) funds in the amount of $215,103.
Background:
On March 14, 2017 the Board accepted funding from the Arizona Dept. of Housing for the use of federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds for the arson remediation project at the Southern Arizona Children’s Haven. This cooperative agreement is a standard process that the County performs for each recipient of the CDBG funds.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Finalize contract with Arizona Dept. of Housing to accept funds and complete project as outlined in the grant application.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
If this agreement is not signed the county risks losing CDBG funds and there would not be a clear understanding of the use of funds with The Southern Arizona Children’s Haven under federal guidelines.
