Approve the award of Invitation for Bid 17-32-BOS-03 for Southern Arizona Children's Haven Arson Remediation Repair to B-R Constructors Inc. in the amount of $119,119 and four possible Add Alternates in the amount of $45,981.00 for a total of $165,100.
Background:
IFB 17-32-BOS-03 Southern Arizona Children's Haven Arson Remediation Repair was prepared and released on May 10, 2017 via the PubicPurchase.com website. The bid was advertised in the San Pedro Valley News-Sun/Arizona Range News on May 10th and May 17th, 2017, and was posted on the Cochise County Procurement website. Bid was accessed by 74 agencies registered in the PublicPurchase.com database. A mandatory on-site job walk/pre-bid meeting was held on May 31, 2017 at 1:00p.m. at the Southern Arizona Children's Haven located at 721 N. Gonzales Blvd. Huachuca City, AZ 85616. Fifteen (15) potential contractor/subcontractors attended. Three (3) bids were received by the IFB closing date and time of August 9, 2017 at 1:00p.m. A bid tabulation is attached.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Issue Notice to Proceed. Execute contract. Obtain performance bond, payment bond and certificate of insurance.Schedule and conduct pre-construction meeting and monitor contractors performance.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
Arson remediation and repair will not occur, Cochise County youth will not be able to benefit from services provided by the Southern Arizona Children's Haven. Arizona Department of Housing grant will be lost.

Two copies of contract for construction services will be hand delivered to Clerk of the Board prior to board meeting. Forward signed copies to the Procurement Department.
