Approve the County Engineer’s recommendation to establish a portion of Linda Vista Lane as a County Highway and schedule a public hearing for April 10, 2018.
Background:
County staff has secured 60 foot wide public right-of-way along the existing private easement for Linda Vista Lane from the intersection of North Douglas Avenue and Linda Vista Lane approximately 882 feet west. The road will be inverted and paved to mitigate flood issues.
Due to the nature of the improvements it is necessary to establish this portion of Linda Vista Lane as a County highway.
In accordance with statute, staff will give notice of this public hearing for two weeks in the designated newspaper.

Upon acceptance of the County Engineer’s recommendation, a public hearing will be scheduled and advertised as required by statute.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
That portion of Linda Vista Lane will not be established as a declared County Highway.
