Approve the Grant Agreement from The Nature Conservancy awarded to County Cochise in the amount of $8,000 to pass these funds on to the United States Geological Survey (USGS) for the monitoring of the USGS Benson/Narrows Gage for the fiscal year 2011.
Background:
On August 9, 2011 the Board of Supervisors approved the Annual Joint Funding Agreement (JFA No. 4) with United States Geological Survey (USGS) in the amount of $8,000 for the period of October 1, 2010 to September 30, 2011 for the operation and maintenance of a streamflow gage on the San Pedro River near Benson.
This grant agreement is a pass through grant from The Nature Conservancy that grants money to Cochise County for monitoring of the USGS Benson/Narrows Gage that we in turn give to USGS.
