Approve the appointment of Richard Searle to the Public Lands Advisory Committee, District 3, for a one-year term beginning September 11, 2018, through June 30, 2019.
Background:
The Public Lands Advisory Committee consisting of up to nine members with up to three appointed by the County Supervisor for each District. Members of the PLAC serve a one-year initial term. Supervisor Judd is recommending Richard Searle be appointed to serve the one-year term beginning September 11, 2018.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Send appointment letter and administer the oath of office to Mr. Searle in BOS staff follow up.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
Mr. Searle will not be allowed to serve on the PLAC.
To BOS Staff: Document Disposition/Follow-Up:
Please send Mr. Searle the standard letter from the Board office affirming his appointment, along with the oath of office. Community Development staff will provide if needed, the mailing address to the Clerk via email.
