Approve a proclamation to proclaim April 2019 as National County Government Month - “Connecting the Unconnected” in support of counties taking pride in our responsibility to protect and enhance the health, well-being and safety of our residents in efficient and cost-effective ways.
Background:
National County Government Month — held each April — is an annual celebration of county government. Since 1991, the National Association of Counties has encouraged counties to actively promote the services and programs they offer. Counties can schedule activities any time during the month. NCGM is an excellent opportunity for Cochise County to highlight effective county programs and raise public awareness and understanding about the various services provided to the community. This year’s theme is “Connecting the Unconnected”.
