Approve Fiscal Year 2011 Edward Byrne Memorial JAG Program Local Solicitation Award (2011-DJ-BX-3399) in the amount of $49,272 for the period of October 1, 2010 through September 30, 2014, to cover the purchase a Firearms Training Simulator System.
Background:
This grant is an annual award of monies that can be used for a variety of purposes. This year's award is to be used for the purchase of a firearms training simulator system so that department employees will be able to meet AZPOST and department firearms proficiency requirements without having to travel to other locations and use other entities systems.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Procure a firearms training simulator system for department use
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
If not approved, the firearms simulator training system will not be purchased. This will require department employees to continue to travel to other entities to use their systems, increasing expenses.

Two original copies are submitted. Both require Mr. Otega's signature. Return one of the originals to the Sheriff's Office for filing and submission.
