Approve a Notice of Award in the amount of $435,937 to Rural Electric, 9502 E. Main Street, Mesa, Arizona 85207 to reconstruct the runway lighting at Bisbee-Douglas International Airport.
Background:
BDI is an FAA entitlement airport and receives funds each year for projects to improve operations at the airport. These funds are being used to reconstruct the runway lighting and related electrical system at BDI.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Provide the Notice of Award letter to the contractor so they may begin with the project.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
The FAA funds allocated for this project will not be used and the lighting and electrical system will not get upgraded.
