Approve Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between the City of Bisbee and Cochise County for planning and zoning, subdivision development, and other long-range planning services.
Background:
Cochise County and the City of Bisbee currently have in place an IGA for Planning and Building Services. After discussions with the Bisbee City Manager, Bisbee no longer needs all the services provided by Cochise County Development Services. The new IGA provides planning services similar to the planning services provided to other municipalities in Cochise County (the City of Douglas and the City of Willcox).
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Begin to provide planning services to the City of Bisbee.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
The County will not support or provide planning services to the City of Bisbee.
