Adopt Zoning Ordinance 20-03 for Docket R-20-01 (Definitions): An amendment to the various definitions contained within Article 2, Section 203 of the Zoning Regulations in order to improve, clarify, distinguish uses, and provide increased consistency of interpretation.
Background:
Docket R-20-01 encompasses twenty-six (26) new definitions and twenty-three (23) alterations to existing definitions to aid in the interpretation of terms either not commonly used outside the context the Zoning Regulations or where a definition, more specific than a general definition, is needed to serve the purpose of the Zoning Regulations. On March 11, 2020, the Planning and Zoning Commission voted 6-0 at a public hearing to forward Docket R-20-01, with a recommendation of approval.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
The Cochise County Zoning Regulations, Article 2, will be amended, as shown in Exhibit A attached to the Ordinance.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
The definitions contained within Article 2 of the Cochise County Zoning Regulations will not be amended.
