Agenda Item Text:
Approve fiscal year 2020 Arizona Coronavirus Emergency Supplemental Funding Program, Grant Award #ACESF-21-016, as provided by the Arizona Criminal Justice Commission effective January 20, 2020 to January 20, 2022 in the amount of $128,975.
Background:
This program is designed to assist state, county, local, and tribal criminal justice agencies and nonprofit organizations that provide services to the criminal justice system to prevent, prepare for, and respond to the coronavirus.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
The next steps will be to have the Attorney General review the agreement and get the agreement signed. We will also work with Finance/Budget to get a new fund number assigned.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
If the grant is not approved, General Fund monies would be utilized to purchase pandemic related personal protective equipment and sanitizers.
