Approve revisions to Human Resources Policy 2231: Attendance During Influenza or Another Viral Pandemic Outbreak, effective June 23, 2020.
Background:
The previous policy on Pandemic Attendance was approved in March 2020. Since then, much has been learned about the current pandemic and COVID-19. The Governor's executive order on re-opening stipulates that all employers must follow OSHA and CDC guidelines related to mitigating the risk of exposure. As a result, the policy needs to be updated to include the use of cloth face coverings. The updates also broaden the symptoms to include any respiratory-like illness in accordance with CDC information for any pandemic, not only COVID-19.

Send approved policy to HR and IT for posting to website.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
The policy will lack specific language on facial coverings.
