Agenda Item Text:

Approve Contract 21-03A-FAC-01 with Restruction Corporation for the reconstruction of the Superior Courthouse Pedestrian Bridge at 100 Quality Hill in Bisbee in the amount of $371,444, effective March 23, 2021.

Background:

The Facilities Management Department would like to move forward with reconstructive services at the Bisbee Superior Courthouse for the pedestrian bridge. The Facilities Department worked with Procurement in issuing this requirement through the formal bidding process.

The Procurement Department issued Invitation for Bid 21-03A-FAC-01 on November 19, 2020. All bidding vendors attended a site visit. Two vendors submitted proposals.

All proposals were reviewed by Facilities and Procurement with the winning bidder being Restruction Corporation.

Department's Next Steps (if approved):

Issue contract and purchase order to Restruction Corporation and begin scheduling the work.

Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:

The pedestrian bridge would not be reconstructed in a timely manner causing further damage and additional delays for rear entrance access.
