Approve Software License Agreement between Hane Solutions, LLC, and the Cochise County School Superintendent's Office for a school management system in the amount of $5,430, effective May 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022.
Background:
Our Accommodation School District (Dropout Recovery Program) New Connections Academy was approved by the Board on 11/17/20. SchoolDex (owned by Hane) is a School Management System which allows us to report student attendance and other student information to ADE in order to meet compliance requirements, and to report and collect funding for student attendance. The system was deployed for us as part of the process of establishing the school district, and we had to have it in place before we were able to enroll students or complete the accommodations district creation process. The program is web based, and complies with the Family and Education Records Privacy Act (FERPA).
This contract covers May 1 through July 31 of FY21 and all of FY22.

Jacqui Clay will sign the contract with Hane Solutuions, and we will pay the invoice for services.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
Student Management Systems are a critical component of school reporting and operations. The accommodation district cannot function without this software.
