Approve Merit Commission member appointments for Ms. Donna Hilton and Ms. Liz York, effective September 12, 2021 through September 11, 2025.
Background:
A.R.S. § 11-353 and Merit System Rule 2.1 require a five-member commission, with each member serving a four-year term. Members Hilton and York wish to continue serving as members of the Commission.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
If approved, Human Resources will advise the commission members.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
If not approved, the commission will only have three (3) of the five (5) members required and will not be able to perform its duties due to lack of quorum. The Board of Supervisors would then need to consider new applicants for appointment to the commission.
