Agenda Item Text:
Adopt Resolution 22-08 to authorize the addition of roads within Red Hawk II Units 2 and 3 to the Cochise County Maintained Road System.
Background:
This portion of Red Hawk II Units 2 and 3 is currently being developed and therefore the infrastructure of roads is necessary to adhere to the Assurance agreement entered into by Title Security Agency of Arizona and Cochise County. This section of Red Hawk II Units 2 and 3, has been built to a county standard for a chip sealed road, the builder has supplied Engineering reports and “as-builts” of the segments and it has been inspected by the County Engineer. Per A.R.S. § 11-822(C) Streets fully completed in accordance with the approved plant and written specifications made by the County Board, the County shall accept the street into the county maintenance system. With the information provided, the County Engineer recommends the adoption of these segments of road to the County Maintained Road system.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Annual maintenance of this 0.36 miles of road will be included in the annual Highway User Revenue Funds report and included in Public Works maintenance budget. The new segment of Conaway Circle and Rocky Chimney Place will be added to the County Maintained Road System Atlas.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
