Approve an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between the City of Tombstone and Cochise County for Planning and Zoning, Subdivision Development, GIS Mapping, Survey, Engineering, and other Long-Range Planning services, effective upon approval by both entities for a one-year term, with automatic one-year renewals.
Background:
The City of Tombstone has requested planning assistance from the county. The IGA will maximize resources and improve the efficiency of local governments in Cochise County. The Development Services Department has the capacity to assist the City of Tombstone and support its efforts to grow as a community. The IGA supports Priority 3 of the BOS Strategic Work Plan 2021 - 2024. The City of Tombstone City Council approved the IGA at their regular meeting on April 12, 2022.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Continue to assist the City of Tombstone with annexation or other planning services as needed and requested by the City.
