Approve Professional Services Agreement 22-17-HEA-01 between Cochise Harm Reduction and Cochise Health & Social Services, for Syringe Exchange Services in support of the Justice Reinvestment Fund established through an act of Legislation, in the amount of $63,045, effective May 10, 2022, through May 31, 2023.
Background:
On 2/22/2022 the Budget Manager presented an amendment to the 2021-2022 budget due to proposition 207 and referenced ARS 36-2856. Cochise County Board Supervisors approved the request.
This service agreement with Cochise Harm Reduction will utilize the funds generated by the Justice Reinvestment dollars. Cochise Harm Reduction will be required to provide us with an annual report of their efforts and the impact on our community members.
The revenue has already been received.

Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
We will have to find an alternate way to expense the Justice Reinvestment Funds in a manner that aligns with the requirements of the law.
