Approve the Cooperative Grant Agreement between Cochise County and the Bowie Fire District for the purchase of Emergency Extrication Equipment for the Fire District, Bowie, Arizona.
Background:
In January 2012, the County entered into Community Development Block Grant Agreement 133-12 with the Arizona Department of Housing to purchase emergency extrication equipment for the Bowie Fire District. The cooperative grant agreement between the County and the Bowie Fire District clearly defines the responsibilities of each party for the CDBG funded project.
Project is funded by CDBG agreement #133-12. No Impact on the County General Fund.

Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Proceed with County procedures to formally procure the emergency extrication equipment for the Bowie Fire District.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
Without the cooperative grant agreement between the County and the Bowie Fire District the responsibilities of each party will not be clearly defined. This will jeopardize both the grant funding and the successful completion of the project.
