Approve revised Real Property Lease Agreement between Cochise County and the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management, at the Bisbee-Douglas International Airport, for additional space in the terminal building and other areas of the airport and to increase the monthly lease amount from $1,500 to $3,000, effective February 1, 2021 through January 31, 2026.
Background:
The Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management currently leases space for wildland fire crews in the terminal building and other areas of the airport to store vehicles and equipment. Additional space in the terminal is needed for a State Forestry crew that helps prevent fires by clearing land and brush management.
An increase in the monthly lease amount from $1500 to $3000 for office, training, and storage space in the terminal building and other areas of the airport for vehicle and equipment storage.

Coordinate with the local State Forestry crew for tenant improvements to the terminal building for office, training, and storage space.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
The State Forestry crew will not be allowed to occupy the terminal building and loss revenue to the County.
