Agenda Item Text:
Approve Amendment 5 to Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) YH16-0018-13 between the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) and Cochise County to extend the IGA term from May 1, 2023 through April 30, 2028.
Background:
This Intergovernmental Agreement with the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System allows the Cochise County Detention Medical Clinic to be charged at a lower rate when inmates are hospitalized.

Department's Next Steps (if approved):
§ Send signed approved IGA is sent back to AHCCCS
§ Ensure Cochise County account has the minimum required $10,000 balance
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
Cochise County would be required to pay for inmate hospitalizations without the benefit of the Medicaid Eligible Fee For Service Project.
