Approve Family Conciliation Court Per Diem Mediators Professional Service Agreements, 23-08-SUP-01, between the Cochise County Superior Court and Clark Arizona Legal Services and David M. Juarez for mediation and conciliation services, effective April 11, 2023.
Background:
Family Conciliation Court Services are offered by Cochise County Superior Court under the authority of Arizona law (ARS § 25-381) for married parties who are considering or who are in the process of divorce.The Family Conciliation Court provides mediation services related to parents with minor children, involved in disputes concerning divorce, legal separation, paternity, or post-decree matters, with the goal of determining legal decision-making and parenting time. Family Conciliation Court provides conciliation services to help spouses who are experiencing an ongoing conflict, which may lead to divorce or separation. Cochise County Superior Court conducted a bidding process for qualifications and received two interested vendors to enter into a contract.

Send agreements for signature and issue a purchase order.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
Family Conciliation Court will have a backlog of cases required to obtain the services. This would impact the parties in the cases and the bench. Additionally, the court will not be in compliance with Arizona State law,
