Approve a $4,000 increase, from $87,991 to $91,991, in the Crime Victim Compensation Reallocation Grant No. VC-23-002, that was previously approved by the Board on July 26, 2022.
Background:
The adjustment award amount of $4,000 is to be used by the Cochise County Attorney’s Victim Compensation Program to provide crime victims within Cochise County compensation for injuries and losses received as a result of a crime. This supplemental compensation benefit allocation has been added to the existing Victim Compensation Grant award bringing the total amount of the FY23 grant award to $91,991.00.
Fiscal Impact & Funding Sources: There is no transfer-in from any county account. This fund is fully grant monies.

This is a mandated service and Cochise County would be liable to cover the costs. Also, victims in Cochise County would not receive compensation.
