Accept certification of canvass for the March 13, 2012 Consolidated Palominas Fire District Recall Election.

Background:

On March 13, 2012 the consolidated election included the recall of Debbie Stoner from the Palominas Fire District Board.    Ms. Stoner and Mr. Starnes were the two candidates on the ballot.     Ms. Stoner won the election with 390 votes (57.69%) compared to Mr. Starnes 283 votes (41.86%).   On March 29, 2012, the Palominas Fire District Governing Board canvassed and certified the election results.

A.R.S. 16-642 (b) states that the governing board of a special district shall present to the BOS a certified copy of the official canvass of the election.
