Approve Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) 23-0009271-I between the State of Arizona, Department of Transportation (ADOT), and Cochise County for Moson Road drainage and safety improvements between SR90 and Hereford Road, in the amount of $6,100,000, effective upon signing by all parties.
Background:
The Sierra Vista Municipal Planning Organization (SVMPO) submitted the Moson Road project for FY2023 State Funds Laws 2023, 1st Regular Session, Chapter 135, Section 10 appropriated funding from the State general fund for highway projects, Senate Bill 1722. These funds will be used for design and construction. Total construction cost of Moson Road from SR90 to Hereford Road is estimated at $21,000,000. These funds will be used to construct one phase of the project.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Accept the funds and have Finance deposit into Fund Account 253-4110-252.000 for Moson Road.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
Would not have construction funds for the first phase of Moson Road.
