Accept the elections results certified and submitted by the Cochise County Elections Department as the official canvass for the Special General Election held on June 12, 2012.
Background:
As set forth in A.R.S. 16-642, the governing body holding an election shall meet and canvass the election not less than six days nor more than twenty days following the election.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Submit offical canvassed results to the Secretary of State.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
Cochise County will not be in compliance with ARS 16-642 for certifying election reslts.
To BOS Staff: Document Disposition/Follow-Up:
Overnight a Certified set of the election canvass materials to the Secretary of State. Send a copy of the approved BOS minutes to the Elections Department.
