Information
Agenda Item Text:
Approve the revised Emergency Management Performance Grant EMF-2022-EP-00009-S01 with a one-year extended period of performance of July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2024, and with the amended budget.
Background:
The Emergency Management Performance Grant as originally approved February 28, 2023 with period of performance of July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023. The requested extended period of performance is July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2024. This request was approved on May 4, 2023 by the Arizona Department of Emergency and Military Affairs (AZDEMA). A period of performance extension was already approved by the Cochise County Board of Supervisors on June 20, 2023, however, the sub-recipient agreement was never approved with updated dates. Now, AZDEMA has requested we revise the sub-recipient agreement with revised dates, which approval of this agenda item will accomplish.
Budget Amendment moves funds for supplies and contracting. There is no change in award amount. The budget amendment will fund three projects: disaster PPE, RACES technology upgrade, and emergency operations plan contractor. These three projects use unspent funds from the FY22 EMPG award.
