Approve receipt of funds from the Arizona Secretary of State for recording and notification services to pay Saul's Creek Engineering for software creation in compliance with S.B.1110/A.R.S. 11-467, in the amount of $5,000.
Background:
ARS 11-467, which was passed as SB1110, mandated the title notification by County. The Secretary of State's office distributes funds quarterly in $2,5000 increments to the counties to pay for the software creation. Saul's Creek Engineering provided services to set up this notification system and funds will be used to pay the vendor. To date, Saul's Creek has invoiced the county for $5000.00. Additional work will be performed over FY24, totaling $10,000.
11-467. Recorded documents; notice to owner: Not later than January 1, 2025, the recorder shall provide a system for notifying a person or entity when any document is recorded in which the person or entity is a named party to the instrument. The system shall allow a person or entity to choose to participate and is voluntary for the person or entity, and the notice shall be provided promptly by email, text message or other similar means.
