Adopt Zoning Ordinance 24-01, for Docket R-24-01 (Agritourism): Amending articles 2.03 definitions, 2.15 rural zoning districts, 2.18 residential zoning districts, 2.42 planned development districts, and 2.48 administration in support of agritourism in the Cochise County zoning regulations.
Background:
Staff initiated Zoning Regulation Amendment to support agriculture and tourism in Cochise County. Agricultural tourism, or agritourism, involves visitors participating in activities related to rural life and agriculture. It aims to promote local farming, support rural economies, and offer educational and recreational experiences. Agritourism benefits farmers by generating additional income and enhances the understanding of agriculture among tourists while encouraging tourism in rural areas.

Update the County Zoning Regulations as shown in Exhibit A.
