Approve a proclamation to declare April 2024 as Community College Month in Cochise County, to celebrate the contributions community colleges make in shaping the future of Arizona and its economy through high-quality education and workforce training.
Background:
This proclamation will honor the hard work and dedication of community college faculty, staff, and students and raise awareness about the various programs and opportunities available to all students. It would further strengthen the bond between the community and the college, encouraging businesses, organizations, and residents to support and engage with the college.
Cochise College serves the residents of Cochise County from two campuses and four centers throughout Southern Arizona. The college has repeatedly been recognized nationally for its cost, return on investment, and high success rate.
